Finding information about Korean doctors is difficult even for local Koreans. Many of the review apps are full of fake reviews left by bots or staff working at their clinics. If it is difficult for Koreans, it is almost impossible for non-Korean speakers, Koreans rarely (if at all) use google, yelp, or Facebook. Instead, we have our own Korean apps.

There are unfortunately many doctors performing surgery on foreigners who are simply unqualified. I have seen doctors recommended by other medical tourism companies who lack board certification, specialize in a completely different/unrelated field and/or have a history of botched surgeries, all while charging hugely inflated prices!
